Father Bernie's Hornpipe
This is a tune penned by my buddy Jay Gilbert & he named it after a local character Fr, Bernie. Fr. Bernie is omnipotent in sessions around Rhode Island. He's alway there & loves the music alot. Some little known facts about Fr. Bernie: his drink of choice is diet coke & chardonay & his church is on the village of Harmony which I think is in Foster. This tune works in both C & D but since I learned it in C that's how I'm playing it - this tune is another good excuse for a whistler to get a C-whistle. Although this tune is in C it's not too hard on the fiddle, and it comes out easy.
