Hornpipe
there is also a hornpipe called 'Atlantic Roar" I learned from a sheet music book by Johannes Schiefner. I think he learned it from Liam O'Flynn

This is "The Atlantic Wave". "The Atlantic Roar" is the tune that urs is talking about.

Yup, that's Atlantic Wave, all right. I hear it at least twice a week without fail, every time I teach dance class, as it's the first reel on One More Time, just about the only practice CD I use in class these days...

Hi Zeens,
This is actually a bit of a boring tune, well not boring, but it doesn't do all that much, but I quite like it anyway. I play this:

G3B d2dB|cBcd efge|dgfg ecAF|GcAF G2:|

That should be an "e" in the 2nd to last bar, but actually, "a" sounds nice - perhaps I'll start doing that.

Oh, I quite like the way that Billy, Brendan, and Zan play the thing (*grin* I wasn't going to mention names, and then I realized that it was you) -- not boring at all! Of course, they're kind of all over the place with the thing, barely a quarter note to be seen...
