Note: for fiddlers who don't like to use the pinkie on others strings than the 'e' one, I suggest to begin now... the d string's e is saving, on this tune.

Seamus Begley variation
I believe this polka was written by Aussie Steve Cooney whilst he was with Stockton's Wing, hence the name I 'pose.
I agree - a great tune, and underplayed. Seamus Begley on his first CD with Cooney ('Meiteal'), plays it in B minor, and plays this 2nd-time variation of the B part, which happens in thwe 2nd to 4th bars. I've kept it to D minor here . This gives the tune a 2-octave range.
