The other guns
I know another tune by this title is in the database at thesession.org, but this is a different tune. It's usually used as the last tune in the last set of the night at a session I go to. Some rhythmic variations are done in the B-part,
f2>a2 dfaf | e2>a2 ceae, etc
giving it a fun tilt. All in all - I think it's a pretty cheap tune, but it has enough magic in it to keep things fun.

Isn't this The Easy Club reel? Composed by the aptly named Big Jim Sutherland who once demonstrated for me why he played the cittern, not the banjo. It was the loudest banjo playing I have ever heard. I won't post the name officially in case I am wrong.

Yep, I too know it as the Easy Club Reel, from the playing of Sean Smyth.

Easy Club Reel
Oh well, that's what I get for asking a guitar player for the name of a tune. I'll send a note to Jeremy to have the title changed.

It is indeed jim sutherland: a cracking tune writer and seminal inventor of wierd things. Like gaffer taping drum brushes to his bodhran stick.

The Easy Club Reel
I know this tune as the first tune on an album just called The Easy Club.It was my first taste of hearing jazz/swing chords played underneath celtic music. This is how I transcribed it, a few variations...

This should played with dotted rhythms and very syncopated. Does anyone know a decent guitar part?
