The Black Haired Lad

This is a very old Scottish pipe reel I learned a few years ago from fiddler Roddy Neilson. Cracking tune on the fiddle too.

Very nice. I love these really old pipe tunes.

the A mixolydian caught my eye as I flicked through looking for the black mill, another old pipe tune....

Old Blind Dogs

There is a BRUTALLY fast version of this played by a warpiper on the Old Blind Dogs' album "Fit?" with this on the 11th track. Pretty cool stuff!

The Black Haired Lad

Nice wee clip of the tune on the above clip, probably played by Rory Campbell. That would be about the average speed the tune is played at in these parts.
