Here's a rare one for you....

I got this most unsual 3- part jig from the playing of piper Patrick Hutchinson of Rhode Island. It has all the hallmarks of a good "piping" tune (nothing shocking there) but the thing I found most interesting was that the parts were only 8 bars each. While not uncommon in (single) reels, you don't see it in jigs so much (there are tunes CALLED "single" jigs in Co. Clare & other places, but these tunes seem to be closer to slides). Patrick followed this with a great piping tune, "The Hag at the Churn". If anybody out there knows of any other "single"
(8 bars per part & written in 6/8 time) please let me know. Cheers!

Hey Jay,

Hate to say it, but I already posted this tune 3 years back. However, I did put it in 12/8 originally for some strange reason. So let's just call mine a slide setting of it =P
