Old Woman Of The Milldust

This is a very old epic pipe jig. I posted after a request for 'Trippers', which is obviously derived from this tune. Trippers also goes under the name 'It Is My Lame Leg That I Left Behind'

The first part is very similar to that of Larach Alastair: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/6740

Larach Alasdair

Yes Slainte, I agree. I reckon Larach Alasdair belongs to that group, I know there was a fourth but couldn't put my mind to it. I'm pretty sure that the Old Wife is the 'mother tune' but I'll need to do a bit ore investigating.

Really?

The similarity between The Trippers and Old Wife is obvious but is it really so much to lump them together?
