The Sligo Chorus
This is a really great reel that I rediscovered recently while browsing O'Niells. I learned it many years ago from a fiddler friend. This is pretty much as it appears in O'Niells as that is the version I first learned.

"O'Rourke's" / "Wild Irishman"
This is basically the same tune that Michael Coleman recorded as "O'Rourke's." According to Martin Wynne, however, the names of the tunes on the Coleman 78 side were reversed - the second reel was called "The Wild Irishman" and Martin felt that this tune was the real "Wild Irishaman." It does have a family resemblance to other settings by that name, and to the reel called "The Flowing Bowl" in O'Neill.
Longford man Frank Quinn recorded "The Sligo Chorus" on the melodeon in the 78 era, but he changed the name to "The Westport Chorus" for some reason.

The Sligo Chorus
What a great tune! It reminds me of the Monaghan Switch/The Ladies of Tullybardine. I will be playing this tune. Thanks, Bogman
