Sheep Island
I composed this simple little Mazurka for my friend Keith J Scammell, a Fiddler from Inverness, who visits us on the Causeway Coast each summer. It is named after a local landmark, where the locals used to leave sheep, as a peace offering for passing viking raiders, to deter them from coming ashore to rape & pillage. It is an easy tune to learn, & as such, is a favourite with my young students.

A small world. I sometimes meet up with Keith and his pals in The Clachnaharry Inn, Inverness for a tune.
It's a friendly welcoming session, if not too busy.
