Haven't put any tunes in here for ages - learnt a good few over past year or so that I don't think are here but may be they are in diff. versions/ keys. Anyway here is a jig that my older lad learnt off Colm gannon at Willie Week. Catchy thing, think it's related to Mist on the Meadow etc. Colm probably had a name for it but those sort of things go in one ear and out t'other!! As long as the tune stays there, I suppose we should be glad:) Put it here in D maj as I think it resolves to a d but maybe it's B minor - I'm hopeless at keys. I must sit down and write out the others.

The Humours of Glynn....

is the title Colm Gannon has for this tune. Strange, I recorded the concert of C. Gannon, Jesse Smith, and John Blake last night, which was originally broadcast on rte radio last winter, and was listening to them play this jig this morning!

The file is still available: http://dynamic.rte.ie/quickaxs/209-rte-latesession-2007-12-30.smil (the jig set starts around 7:40)

Well thanks for that Slainte - incidentally Colm Gannon plays what I think, is quite an unusual style in his left hand playing of the box. Sort of like imitating the regulators of the pipes.

This is here under the same title: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/7891#download
quite different but same last phrase.

Not the same tune obviously but the seeds of a possible mix up in titles. Anyone got the Mulcahy CD's to check what they play?
