"Gan Ainm" ~ but I know this has a name... GRRRR!!!

A friend sent me a few audio tracks to transcribe for them and this was among them. It was familiar, but I haven't managed to dredge a name out for it yet. I suspect it might be Swedish? However, I think they said it was recorded in Ireland, somewhere on the west coast? I hesitated, as always, but decided offer it here and see if maybe one of you bright sparks might have a name for it, which would help reduce the number of swirls currently raising dust in my mind with hopes of finding bits of memory for questions posed... :-/

And if not ~ well, it's a sweet melody. I've given it simply, but with a couple of differences from the audio I'd recieved...

It sounds somewhat familiar...

:-/

Do I hear an echo? ;-) Yes, this is the sort of thing that can drive me dotty, trying to remember something I know I know ~ and 'should'...

I'm pretty sure I learned this originally with swing, and possibly without the repetitions or the low dips?

The recording sent was straight, not swung... There was no information as to title or the musicians recorded...

Gan Ainm Waltz

I can half hear words to this ... old timey american type words....

You've got to stop looking at the walls moving by when you spin spin. Too much of that and you do start to hear voices. At least they are singing. Is it full choir yet? ;-)
