Unfortunately I haven't the recording or I'd probably have transcribed from that and added my own take on it here in the comments...

This continues my musical celebration of the live of Vincent Broderick, man, character, husband, father, friend, wordsmith, artist, teacher ~ and who also played the whistle and flute and composed tunes. This is one of my favourites of his, a simple little polka. I confess I play it somewhat differently, from the start I kept returning to the last 4 bars of the A-part of the tune, as I've given it here, with the second ending. Here, for balance, is the same tune without that 2nd ending, but with some other possibilities ~

It should be obvious, I love this jolly little polka...

Vincent Broderick Appreciation Week

Please, don't leave me here alone adding a few takes worth of Vincent's music, I'm hoping some of the rest of you will have gotten familiar with some of his tunes that over the next few days others will offer up a few more with your own personal touches to it... Nigel? Kenny? Bannerman? Martin? ~ Sorry, I won't keep naming people. I'd love to see and try some others, if you would...

Here's where this started, as if you needed reminding ~

Of course, that 'appreciation' is infinite, this is just a little celebration of his music...
