The Shoemaker's Fancy (jig)
This little jig comes from John Blake and Lamond Gillespie's flute and fiddle duet playing. According to the sleeve notes, John Blake found it in 'Ceol,' the magazine published by Breandan Breathnach, but there's no information where the tune originally comes from. I only found that this is different from the jig titled "The Shoemaker's Fancy" in Ceol Rince na hÉireann II.
Whatever the source, it's a lovely old tune. It is played after Up Sligo (aka. the Creel of Turf) on the recording, but it goes nicely with the Apple in the Winter.
