Masterpiece...
I love this reel. It was composed by a flute player named SeanGilrane, who plays it as the 1st tune of a 3-reel flute duet on a CD called "Sheridan's Guesthouse", by Dave Sheridan. I had heard a track or 2 on Clare FM when it was released in 2006, and came across the CD at the Willie Clancy week. It seems to be an "own-label" recording, and maybe doesn't get great distribution, which is a shame, because Dave Sheridan has shot straight into my top 10 of favourite flute players on the basis of this recording. If you come across it at all, you should buy it -great hard-driving flute playing. His duet with Sean Gilrane, with this reel followed by "Captain Kelly" and "The Salamanca" is one of the best flute-duets I've ever heard.
