Pretty waltz, by Maurice Lennon (formerly of Stockton's Wing). You can find it on Jerry O'Sullivan "The Invasion".
This transcription is by Phillip L. Sexton, and I got it off JC's tunefinder, as Cecile was looking for wedding music. I think this is perhaps a little bittersweet a tune for a wedding, but it *is* beautiful.

Now thats funny, I was just looking for this tune the other day, and now there it is! Thanks! I know it from a recording of 'Cherish the ladies', but it seems not to be on any records of them, but it is absolutely wonderful. One of my alltime favorits!

Love this tune
I just heard Natalie McMaster play this haunting tune on Saturday on PBS, and I had to learn it.
I'm so happy to have found this site.

Julee Glaub sings a beatutiful rendition of this song. She calls it "You Will Always be Mine". Words penned by Mike Hanrahan. I recently heard this played at session on the penny whistle and have to learn it.

Natalie MacMaster's version
There is sheet music on Natalie's website which is Natalie's transcription of her playing this tune. Slightly different than this version -- just thought you might like to have another version!

17 Bar tune
Does anyone else find the fact that this tune has 17 bars instead of the normal 16 a bit disconcerting? It tends to throw me a curve when I am accompanying it, and I think it would throw me off if I were dancing to it.

Beautiful tune... I've gotta agree about the 17 bars though, it confuses me.
