Kenneth's Bridge

This is one of mine - and I hope it comes out as a 3/2, as that is what it's meant to be.

Kenneth's Bridge is a wooden footbridge crossing the stony and relatively pristine River Wear at Frosterley, Co. Durham (England). It gives access to some quite wild and beautiful countryside, if you walk far enough. Long may it do so - kids seem to like trying to burn it down.

Kenneth's Bridge - It's meant to be faster than the midi!

It's meant to be a whole lot faster than the midi! - i.e., a brisk 3/2, not an air.

I entered it in crotchets not quavers so as to get it to register as a 3/2 and not a 3/4, but this seems to have been a mistake.

I've altered the abc's so as to speed up the tune - though this won't change the sheetmusic or the midi.

(Oct. 2007 - This bridge is now broken and impassable as a result of being rammed by a tree carried downriver by recent floodwaters...)

Nov. 2009 - Happily Kenneth's Bridge is now restored and back in use.
