"Aggie's Waltz" ~ from the playing of Seamus Egan
I was playing around with this waltz when someone dropped me a very pleasant email asking me about the same. There are psychic things happening here on the ol' yeller board... Ooooo!

As I've always said, it would be lovely to see someone else's way with this, your setting? Please?

"Waltz from Transtrand" ~ not "Aggie's"
I was chasing up my copy of the album this is on when concertinaplayer made a request for me to transcribe a track from it. They sent me an MP3 of it as "Aggie's". Well, "Aggie's" it ain't.
"Seamus Egan: Traditional Music of Ireland" (from all over the place!)
Track 6: "Waltz from Transtrand"
Notes: "I got this waltz from the playing of three Swedish fiddle players, Kalle A. Imlof, Bjorn Stabi and Pers Hans (Shanachie 21001). The waltz itself comes from the province of Dalarna, known in Sweden as the 'Folklore Province'."
That explains familiarity with it ~ Bjorn Stabi, whose music I have enjoyed in the past...
Now that I finally have the recording back here I'll see about getting "Aggie's Waltz" notated, if it isn't already here in some form...

Aggie's
Thought that transcription above looked odd, "c". Listened to the recording this morning, and you just beat me to it, by posting "Aggie's".

Mea culpa!
I didn't have my recording. Someone sent me an MP3 calling it "Aggie's" and asked if I could make sense of it, so I transcribed it. The whole time thinking "this is very familiar!?"
At least you're not taking me down for adding another Swedish number here...
I had to wait awhile to get the recording back in my hands and make restitution...
What was funny about this was that I had intended to transcribe the waltz and had already asked family to send us the recording. Then, while waiting for that, someone asks me to transcribe what I'd already intended on doing. It surprised the hell out of me ~ music is definitely some kind of magic...
