"The Carricknagavna Barndance" ~ ???
Lovely little melody, and a nice transcription of it too. The music is familiar if not the title... Thanks! Do you know anything else about it you can tell us, other than it being on such-and-such and album? Check the notes for the album, maybe the artists have offered up a bit about origins?

The Carricknagavna
This barndance was composed by Armagh box player Martin Quinn. Watch him play the tune with Angelina Carberry:

Very nice indeed, but you'd think that Comhaltas would have more sense than to call them 'flings', 'flings' they ain't, but very nice for a barndance... Hats off and my exposed bald pate to Mr. Quinn...

"The Carricknagavna Barndance" ~ taking liberties
Apologies Mr. Quinn if it's too much, I'm just following where it took me today ~ some of the several places...
