Owen Hackett Composition
This reel was written by Owen Hackett, a banjo player. I learnt it from his banjo tutorial book and haven't been able to source any recordings or other musicians who play the tune, other than my brother who I also taught it to.
It's a smart melody and a tune that I think needs a bit more attention. A particularly nice tune for banjo and B/C accordion, this tune can be played more easily on flutes and pipes in the key of D. I don't play it in that key because I love Cmaj but as far as I remember, Hackett included dots for a D version of the tune in his tutorial.
I hope you like this one!

The B part...
sounds nice to me played somewhat like a hornpipe--just suggesting this as a variation to try.
