The Spinning Wheel

Composed by James Scott Skinner. This version comes from Fisherstreet's "Out in the Night". The tune is the first one of three that appear in John Doherty's medley he entitled "Flood on the Holm", which a friend of mine has kindly transcribed for us:

The setting I transcribed is based on the concertina setting, not the box.

I think that the 3rd part of Flood on the Holm is from another J.S. Skinner tune, "The Auld Wheel" http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/4728.

The 4th and 5th parts are from another tune called "The Bride's Reel" (with the parts reversed) http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/8573.
