O'Boobigan's

I hope the cheeseburgers at the grill are as cheesy as this tune.

That is all.

Can we please set this with "two nice eyes"

I quite like this. It's daggy in a good way. I'd class it as a barndance rather than a hornpipe.

I also would have liked to hear the last couple of bars of the A-part repeated in the B-part. It's a nice little phrase that, and it deserves to be repeated. Here's my version I just played :-)

I just played it through a few more times and the B-part started coming out differently in the middle too. See what you think of this:

Sorry for grafitti-ing your tune submission, but you could also put a few schottischey Scotch snaps in there too. Try this:

X: 1
T: O'Boobigan's
M: 4/4
L: 1/8
R: daggy schottischey thingy with some Scotch snaps
K: Gmaj
(3DEF | G2 G>F E<A A>B | c>B A>G A2 D2 | B>A G>F E2 E2 | A>G F>E D2 (3DEF |
G2 G>F E<A A>B | c>B A>G A2 D2 | B>A G>F E>A F>D | G2 B2 G2 :|

Dan, I love you. I really do.

# Posted on May 8th 2008 by Joe CSS

Thankyou Joe! :-)

Dow, yeah I wish I had spent a further 5 minutes onto the original 20 it took to compose this to think about putting bits of the A part into the B part lol

I like your variations a LOT

What have you tasked me with?

Now I suppose I must go play O'Boobigan's at O'Boobigan's?

Figures Dow, it has more bounce in it... 8-)

Dan & Joe, swinging on a tune ~ pee, eye, ess, ess, ess, ee,dee....

You might have to develop the fine art of disquise Dan. But, maybe it's nothing to worry about. It's a good thing to be loved...even by scary people... ;-)

Be Honoured Dow

I've altered to the ABC to match that of your first variation 8-)

I'm so walking down the aisle to this. My boyfriend disagrees, for some reason. Eejit.

# Posted on May 9th 2008 by mehitabel23

LOL Abby! :-P

He's quite right too, whoever he is (thought you weren't taken anymore?!)

# Posted on May 9th 2008 by D.J.F.

Relax, Dan. We're back together, until he leaves the country anyway. I could rather get used to men grovelling on their knees asking to be taken back...:-) not that it will ever happen again of course!

# Posted on May 10th 2008 by mehitabel23

Is this the one you rejected because he didn't like folk music?

# Posted on May 11th 2008 by Joe CSS

No. Keep up, Joe, that was ages ago! This one's training to be an opera singer!

# Posted on May 11th 2008 by mehitabel23

Aaah...

You have weird taste....

# Posted on May 12th 2008 by Joe CSS

Says he who likes the Wizard's Walk. Go figure.

# Posted on May 12th 2008 by Dow

9 tunebooks!?!?!?!?!?

:-O

# Posted on May 12th 2008 by D.J.F.

12 now!

Hey, don't look at me, I had to learn it. He who posts the goofy thread must learn the tune that results, isn't that the rule? No? Well, it should be, darn it.
