Joe Hutton's March

Submitted in response to a request for this Archie Dagg composition. I could have transcribed it in 2/4 but it ended up looking too much like a polka on paper, and I felt that 4/4 better conveyed the swingy, stateliness of this march.

When I play it...

it flows better for me if I read it as 2/2 rather than 4/4.

I've got a tape of Joe Hutton - The Coquetdale Piper *somewhere*, and will submit its details to Recordings if I can find it, unless someone else does first.

Muspc, there's no option for 2/2 on this website.

(I meant, "Joe Hutton Of Coquetdale" - I think...)
