The Rainbow's End

I transcribed this Vincent Broderick tune yesterday, and at the same time, a discussion was posted asking the name of the same tune. Naturally enough, it goes with Mr. Broderick's other fine composition, "The Crock Of Gold". I first heard it on a record by "The Eamonn Ceannt Ceili Band", of which Vincent Broderick was a member. Vincent Broderick recorded these 2 reels on one of the Comhaltas Tour LPs from the 1980s.

Oops..

No he didnae - not on the ECCB record, it was from the Comhaltas recording. Several of his tunes were played by the band on that record, including the "Crock", and "The Milky Way", which I posted some years ago.

As taught by Micheál Ó Raghallaigh

Here's the tune as taught in a workshop last week by concertina player Micheál Ó Raghallaigh -- very slight differences here and there, including a few low B's (eat your hearts out, flute players). Micheál didn't have a name for it, so I'm grateful to Kenny for the identification.
