"Green Forever" / "The Green Forever" ~ & a bit of history...
Just another lovely simple jig... Another take on it is in "Ryan's Mammoth Collection", 1883, and consequently also in the later "Cole's 1000 Fiddle Tunes", 1940 ~

Duplicate - Humours of Ballydehob (A)

I knew that I played this one, but I'm still puzzled, 'cos I don't know it under either of these names. Bother - this is going to annoy me all day!

Humours of Ballydehob - I meant D

Heh!
~ So something to make you fret over eh? I should have remembered that connection too, but I think they are probably different enough, aside form just key, that maybe Jeremy will let this one survive. When I think they are too similar I usually send him an email and I post my duplication in the 'comments'. If this disappears I'll make a note to do so...
Poor spin's in a spin....
Let me know if you remember the 'other' name you think you should know for it...

Green Forever - spinning wildly!
Got it - It's a Gan Ainm.... I have have it as a jig that follows the Blackthorn Stick and precedes Con Cassidy's
and it's in G but an octave up!

Bother
forget all that last post - I've just got totally confused! What I just posted is started by the same guy at a local session who does the Green Forever tune. My brain went for a walk!
