Yeah, but I wouldn't call it a 3/2 or any other type of dance tune. It's also sung by Sandra Kerr on her recording with her daughter Nancy and James Fagan entitled "Scalene".

"Tender" tempo
I don’t know, Dow. Maybe some kind of 6/4 march tempo. I first heard the song sung in Aberdeen Folk Club sometime in the early 70s by 2 Geordies called “Maxie & Mitch” who were up in Scotland on tour with John Doonan. Interestingly, they upped the tempo of the song on a middle verse to 9/8 time, before going back to the original.
Always liked the song.

Here's The Tender Coming
This was first recorded by The High Level Ranters on their Topic LP "Ranting Lads" (1976) where they play it in a triple set , between "Captain Bover" and "Success to the Fleet". This is the "classic" Ranters' lineup with Tom, Alistair, Colin and Johnny. I'm sorry, I don't have the dots.

Here's the Tender Coming
This is included on the Jez Lowe album, Tenterhooks, in a track that combines the tunes, 'Homefires' and 'Dance to your Daddy' with the songs 'Felton Lonnen' and 'Here's the Tender coming' into a striking whole.
