Unfortunately I've been swindled and the liner notes are in Spanish. But I'll try to translate anyway, more or less...
"Alasdair wrote this tune for his successful summer camp, Valley of the Moon Scottish Fiddling School. Alasdair and Natalie met there when she was eleven years old."
