L:1/4

This should be L:1/4 not 1/8
the way it is in the ABC file this one (1/4) will override the previous default 1/8 and it will work (at least it does in mine)

Lyrics

Written by Eoghan Rua Ó Súilleabháin on the eve of his departure overseas to join the army in 1774. The lyrics are his saying farewell to the people of his village (just East of Cill Airne)
"...Slán cuirim páirteach gan áireamh ó chéile, chun Ádaimh, chun Seágain, chun Máire's chun Séamais...Le h-áthas fá thearman Charraig an Éide - óm fhán-rith dá gcasainn ní sgarfainn lem ré libh!"
(...A tender farewell, with love that won't vary, to Adam, to John, and to James, and to Mary...To Carraig an Éide, best-loved and true-hearted, if I ever reurn we shall never be parted!)

One of the truly great, forgotten laments.

What's wrong, you don't like 'conventions'? Like L: 1/8

This transcript is so awful it's irritating...

_c ~ c flat ~ duh? :-/

Have you actually tried to transcribe it from a 'source', if so what, or are you just winging it?

_c = B, just in case that wasn't clear...

If you really do love this melody, you must realize that a poor transcription is an injustice to it...

Well, it has converted, including those flat c's... For more on where this started, etc., check out this 'relevant' discussion... ;-)

Source

I was putting this into ABC from sheetmusic I have in front of me, So I can't be that wrong. This is how it is sung, and if played differently one must consider that more rythmic version to be incorrect.
