Where is this from?
My daughter's name is Naomi and I have written a tune using her name in the title so I am wondering if the same has been done here!

Naomi is a special friend of mine; the tune is named after her. 'Tis a little cheeky I know, and so is the tune.

Its a good tune. I'm playing fairly steadily at present whilst familiarising myself with it but it has a 'rant' feel about it. Is that possibly significant in some way? Do you play Northumbrian/Scottish a lot? It could also be a useful Hornpipe. It's all in the last bar dontcha know!

Don't hear the rant in this at all. To me it just sounds like a Scottish style reel with hornpipey endings.

I agree that it's quite hornpipey (and maybe a little ranty), and yes, I do play quite a bit of Northumbrian and Scottish. I think it goes well with Spootiskerry, and this is apt as Naomi likes Spootiskerry very much.

Dow! I think I agree with you after playing it some more.
