The seed and first growth for this began with the Merry Hi-lander, and then I stumbled in and couldn't leave well enough alone and caned it and it took it's own growth and here's the fruit of it, beans if you like. Then this swisspiper made the effort to add his tuppence worth, and so we have a German title for it. That's cool though, as some of the best damned sausages and sauerkraut in the world is from the pools of that language and its neighbours, so why not. If you want a short one for this I suppose you could either call in simply "Sauerkraut", or "Pickled Cabbage"... Merry H was bent on burrying it, but I come from a long line of picklers and sauerkraut lovers. I do know what that means. The stuff pongs so bad flies die passing by it, but the results, for some of us, are worth it. It is best to have an outside building, away from the house, to make your sauerkraut...

Burying Cabbage
My friends mom used to prepare sauerkraut by cooking it in molsasses or some kind of sugar and it was delicious. The burying of the cabbage was for preserving it and then it would be prepared lots of ways. Corned beef, bolied with potatoes, stuffed cabbage, witha pork roast.
My grandmother used to yell... Great ! Great! when she heard music she liked...
I thought you might do something with my buried cabbage "c", and you have prepared a tasty dish!
