"En Dro" / "An Dro" ~ a simple limited range tune from Breizh / Brittany

I was sure I had words for this somewhere but haven't been able to find them.

I dug this out when Sarah the flute was seeking one octave tunes. It isn't in D, but only covers 7 notes. It could be played in the relative key of E Dorian, but then would extend out of the range between D & d... A c natural shouldn't be all that difficult to squeeze out for most instruments...

Discussion: What One Octave Tunes in D exist? (D to d in this case)

I've a couple more limited range tunes I'll contribute before returning to the task of dealing with other promises tune-wise...

The transcription given here is simple, straight, but it can also be played swung... I remember playing some tunes in and out of both ways, straight and swung, when in Britanny. It was fun on both sides, as a musician and as a dancer...

Parallel fourths...

played above make for a nice Gregorian chant-like experience. The mode, in that case, would be aeolian, not dorian.

Yes! I have played a version of this that rattled in the occassional F#, my reason for giving it as A Dorian instead of Aeolian, but since it can stand without the F at all, yes, and parallel 4ths are fun...

I still haven't found those lyrics... :-/
