Woke up one morning ...
... and this was going round and round in my head. I was pretty sure it's a reasonably common tune ... except that none of my sessions mates know it, and they're normally a pretty knowledgeable bunch.
If it's here already, I apologise, but I have looked, even using the Reverend's techniques for searching the site and the net.
If anybody has a name, I'd be grateful.

Yep, you're right, Merry-Hielander. Well, at least I've got a name for it now.
I think it's worth keeping this version, in that it's different enough to be interesting. But not as a separate tune. It's clearly the same tune.
