"The Rideau Lake Jig" ~ ascribed to Don Messer?
More later, but for now this jig is offered up with hopes that it will temporarily sate hotspur's desires for a certain other jig, which I will give later, as promised...
I haven't really been able to confirm Don Messer as the composer for this, not yet anyway, but was sent a manuscript for it from 'Nova Scotia Archives' that is different from how I know it.

The B-part is the only bit of particular difference from my transcript:

If you are lower register challenged, like with whistle and flute, you can play the penultimate 7th bar of the A-part so:
~ | GFG EFE | D3- D2 :| ~ or
~ | G2 G E^DE | D3- D2 :| ~ or
~ | GE/F/G FGE | D3- D2 :|

"The Rideau Lake Jig" & "Rosie Finn's Favourite" ~ the slide in it
I hesitated again, but this fits better with the 12/8 barring, and the A-part bears some similarity to the following slide, though in a different key ~
"Rosie Finn's Favourite"

Slainte-syndrome? I've had enough of that for one week. He's already called me an "idiot". Did you see that, 'c'? Of course you know I'm never going to be able to let him live it down.
