Coket Side

Found in the Northumbrian Pipe tune collection by Berwick.

Coket Side = Coquet Side

In modern English the title would be Coquet Side (the first word being pronounced "Coke-it"). The Coquet is a river some forty miles long which flows into the North Sea about half-way between Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Berwick-upon-Tweed, in mid-Northumberland. Its valley is an attractive and interesting place with many trad music associations.

This plays better as more of a 2/4 march than a reel, along the lines of something like Meggy's Foot.
