Gerdie's "hidden" reel
I promised to post this after a recent discussion about this tune being recorded on the Joe Ryan & Gerdie Commane CD, but not being mentioned in the track listings. Interesting tune, a bit reminiscent of the first part of "The Tipsy Sailor" hornpipe. Not having a name for it, I've called it after the player who recorded it.

It's on track 9, after "Lads Of Laois".

Yeah it does have echoes of the Drunken Sailor. It also reminds me of a take on one of the Bunch of Keys/Paddy On The Turnpike/Cairngorm Brooch family of tunes..
