The Bells Of Gorbio
A fantastic jig by the well known piper Peter Hewlett. Peter is also an excellent whistle player and fiddle player. Listen and you can hear those bells

The Gorbio I've been to is a tiny village in Provence, up in the hills from Menton, near the French/Italian border.

I have to say I was attracted to it by the name. The tune itself is interesting, but pretty tricky.

Absolutely beautiful tune! Have you got more info about Peter Hewlett? I don´t know him and couldn´t find anything.

Yes it is. Very unusual. BTW, I just noticed there's a photo gallery of Gorbio village on that link I provided. And that is pretty much how I remember it. I wonder if the tune's composer Peter Hewlett was inspired by those surroundings.
