Mike In The Wilderness
A great old timey tune with strong links to Scottish music. From the Jerry O'Sullivan CD "The Gift".

Mike In The Wilderness
I wrote this in 2/4 so it is slightly different to how I wrote it. The second part there needs to be a slight pause between the A and the e in the first bar. On the CD Jerry plays the third part three times before going back to the first part.

Definitely a reel in my opinion. Quite often the barndance catagory can carry tunes with a dotted rhythm such as a schottishe. This is certainly played with a flatness and with some speed so - REEL.
