I learned this tune from one of my students. Does anyone have a name for it?

Sounds like a modern tune. Trite in the extreme.

Flook / Lunasa
It's like something that one of the modern bands (Flook, Lunusa, maybe Capercaille) would play. Doesn't sound like a ceili band standard anyway!

That's the best response to Dow I've yet seen Peter... I wonder, is it one of his own?
You have been flookin' around the Lunasa lately haven't you Dow? ~ with folk in robes and painted faces waving incense about?

Lord of the dance
I'm ashamed to know this, but it's actually a reel from the finaleset from lord of the dance.
I'll get my coat.....

Hey wait up. Leave the coat, open up the case and we can laugh ourselves into a stupor giving it a go... One of us can even attempt a really sad 2nd harmony...

Thx a lot, but I'ld rather be playing real tunes. I allready had the very doubtful honour to play this tune with a brassband. A whistle against 28 loud brass players, you can imagine who did win.... But then again, I'm a brass player myself......

Not another one?
~ a 'brass' whistle? I used to play low brass, but never in an Irish session, no matter how tempting that might be. Maybe if there were five of us?

I don't play brass whistles, I'll stick to my colin, thank you. But I do play the basstrombone and Eb Bass :p. Still three more to find........
