Callaghans
I find this to be a lovely simple tune. I think there's only 9 notes in it. I learnt it at a session a few years ago when I was lucky enough to spend some time in Clare. I remembered it recently when I heard "In Good Company". They make it simple but exquisite.

Callaghans
I seem to remember that the "Callaghan's" on Chieftains 2 and "Paddy In The Smoke" is one of the hornpipes of that name and not this reel.

Cheiftans 2 and Paddy in the Smoke
That would be correct, no doubt. There's a slight weakness with the cross-referencing of tune names on this site in that plenty of names have more than 1 tune attached to them, and all the different tunes with the name get linked. I don't think that matters too much.

Once more, with feeling
I like this simple setting from the lads on the opening track of A Clare Conscience. Just a few choice pick up notes (including a bowed triplet in the B part) to keep the melody flowing and provide lift. This is based on Aidan McMahon's fiddling.

Planxty
Also a nice hard-driving version of this on Planxty's "After the Break." As with the Chieftains album, the link from the album listing is faulty--it goes to another tune called Now She's Purring.
