This is from the northern coast of Galicia and has the form of an "alborada".
I think it is more a 2/4 kind of rythm, but I have written it down in 4/4 already.

Alborada
this tune is really a galician alborada, that means sunrise. We used to play with gaita in the morning of "festas" and during the parade with the pipers group, playing around the church behind the saint procession.
Lousame is a pretty council in the area of Santiago de Compostela, Galiza (Spain). Another councils closed to Lousame are Rianxo, Dodro, Rois, Boiro, Porto do Son, Noia and Brion, all in A Coruña province, mostly placed in the west of the province and not in the north. You can hear that tune in several CD´s. I learnt this alborada from a fantastic group that was "Os cempés" but you can also hear it in one CD of Milladoiro too.

Another version
actually, the version I know is quite different from this one. I preffer the version learned from "Os cempés" because it sounds more traditional.

Liam O'Flynn
I transcribed this version from Liam O'Flynn's recording.
Liam seems to be regularely in Galicia, but as Carlos Nunez plays together with Liam on this CD, the tune might come from the repertoire of Carlos (?).
