Quin Abbey
Our group from Alaska attended the Seisiun Na H Eireann competition in Quin Ireland in October 2006 and had a great time. We were especially taken with the ruins of Quin Abbey spending a couple of hours exploring there in the rain the first day of our visit there. So inspired by St. Patrick's Day, I wrote this tune attempting to capture the mysterious beauty of the ancient ruins of Quin Abbey. I wrote it as a slipjig to give it a timelessness. I made some changes to the tune to make it more interesting (hopefully).
It's still in the key of Em with one sharp.
