The Dark Horse Reel

A tune written by Martin Murray. He dedicates it to his father, Paddy Murray, "the greatest horseman I have ever known."
This is a very fun tune which shares a similar structure with The Man From Bundoran.

G naturals, not flats...

I presume?

Geez!

Right... the flatted g would be a g natural, whereas the un-flatted g should be a g sharp. Could be I notated it wrong, but the MIDI playback sounds as it should. I'm just a simple folk musician, what do I know? ;-)

With G naturals:

X: 1
T: Dark Horse, The
M: 4/4
L: 1/8
R: reel
K: Bdor
fBBf fede|fBB=g fedc|Bee/e/e gee/e/e|Bege agfe|
fBBf fede|fBB=g fedc|Bee/e/e gee/e/e|Begf edcB|

A/A/AAf ecBA|GBdB GBcB|ABcd eAce|fgaf eAce||

"=" is the abc notation for an accidental natural :)

All things being =

Thanks! I knew that at one point, and then I didn't. Now I know it again. A mind is a terrible thing.

That is one brill tune! Bars 3,4,7 and 8 are brilliant ways of writing out a E chord lol
