I heard Robbie Shepherd telling the tale about Jack having a habit of nipping his ciggies and putting the tab in his pocket whilst playing in the band. He eventually set his pocket on fire.

I like this one. Did G. Edmonson live in Northumberland? The tune reminds me a bit of Willy Taylor's music.
