Nice one, Dow. I like Capercaille's setting--seems to fit better on fiddle than the one from Dervish. But I don't have either recording, and I'm already tinkering with bits here and there.

So what or where is the Clapton?

I'm assuming it's Clapton in London. I think Dervish might have given it that name because they associated that jig set with that particular place. I have a feeling they were playing quite a bit in London (most notably Camden) around the time when Boys Of Sligo was recorded. The composer of the jig might have given it a different title originally, but it looks like the Clapton name has stuck.
