"The Imperial Quick Step March" ~ 1806

"O’Farrell Pocket Companion for the Irish or Union Pipes Volume II", 1806
Page 144: "The Imperial Quick Step"

Here follows a simpler take on the melody closely following the O'Farrell's transcription, which is in 2/4 time, classic for marches 'back then'. I feel 4/4 addresses the melody of this march better...

After that last march I had to find something that is at least suspected as being "Irish", 'Imperial' aside, but at least it was in one of the O'Farrell collections, so, it has at least been blessed by the union / uilleann pipes... ;-)
