Christine Taylor's Jig
I love Northumbrian tunes they always have a happy feel to them, I learnt the Northumbrian pipes when I was 16, before discovering the uilleann pipes. I still enjoy playing the Northumbrian pipes from time to time. Andy May was in town last year and he was just amazing on the Northumbrian pipes.
This is a 4 part jig I think it was written by Willie Taylor.

Was surprised to see this posted today. Do you know any more Northumbrian tunes Jack? Are you going to the National Folk Festival in Canberra this year?
# Posted on February 9th 2007 by Dow
Now you've got his interest ~ and another Willy Taylor tune too...

I see you've been putting in some hard work going round cross-referencing all his tunes, 'c'. Very commendable...

Do you have to know Northumbrian tunes in order to be allowed to play in sessions at the National Folk Festival?

Hope not. Scottish pipe tunes near enough ?

Nah mate, it's all Bush music in Canberra... Be sure to wear your gear and corks round your brim... Slip - Slap - Slop!!!

I don't know Dow if I'll get to Canberra, I will be at Port Fairy and have been asked to play at the Goulbourn Festival. If I can squeeze the National in I will.

Well done C for the cross reference of tunes.
