"Harry's Composite"
This is from the “Tap Room Trio” CD, by Harry Bradley, Jesse Smith and John Blake.
It’s given the name “The Pullet” on the CD, but the sleeve notes describe it as a “composite of several reels played around the mid-west of Ireland”. There’s already 1, maybe 2 reels called the “Pullet”, so I’ve called it “Harry’s Composite” for want of something better. First time I heard it, I recognized a few bars from the 2nd part of “Brendan McMahon’s”, and I think the rest of it is a re-working of the Paddy Fahy reel which Matt Molloy played after “Little Musgrave” on “Planxty’s” “Woman I Loved So Well” recording. The tune may be a bit of a mongrel, but I like it – it works.
I can re-name it if anyone has strong feelings about it.

The Pullet
Kenny, Harry doesn't write a "composite of several reels" but a "composite of several versions of *a* tune."
