"Who'll Come Fight in the Snow?"

This is a fun little slip jig I couldn't find already on site here. I've written out the repeats, AABB, to offer up a few variations on the tune in the repeats...

I have had many snow fights in my life, mostly pleasurable and full of laughter. There have been those rare instances of ice or snow wrapped rocks. I wonder sometimes what became of those who took pleasure in such painful surprises. While our laughter was innocent and shared, there was a cruel edge to theirs. Their laughter wasn't for the community, but just for them, and maybe a few choice others that tagged along for such ritual humiliation of others. Their snickers weren't the sort you tended to join in on, especially if you were on the recieving end of their missles, hard balls verbal or in the guise of a snowball...

If one other person finds pleasure in this little ditty, that's great... I'm up for the snow fight, but no hard balls...
