The Slovenian Chicken
A very silly name for a bizarre reel composed by Scots fiddler Aidan O'Rourke. The third part is a bit contrived, but the second and last parts have a nice NW Scots island feel to them. I learned this from the Tabache album, 'Waves of Rush', where it is followed by Iain MacPherson's in A dorian.

Slovenian chicken
Ahh, we used to paly this at the Lismore session (glasgow), back along. I like to stick it after the strathspey Captain Campbell's.

From reading the CD notes of Tabaches album it says...
"The Slovenian Chicken was written in commemoration of a porcelain chicken which was gifted to Malcolm at a festival in Slovenia. The chicken was destroyed on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh after discovering that it was jinxed."
