Farewell To Spain

This is one of the tunes used for the sea-song "Spanish Ladies". The song tune is played with each part only gone through once, but I saw no harm in having each part played through twice in the version I've submitted. It shows some of the minor variations possible, and it's as I played it with others some years ago.
I'm trying to remember one called "Pretty Girl Combing Her Locks", which was a rather similar B-Minor 3/4 tune.

Cannot help but to think of the song and so this 'doubling-up' of the parts does nothing for me. It seems a shame to steer away from what is a song tune with much strength and beauty including the 'minor' possibilities. Have you ever sung the song, Nicholas?, with a lot of other people including hamonies and sustained notes. I suppose I prefer what I have always known.

Farewell To Spain

hetty - I take your point. But actually, I still like it in two parts - only played with the odd extra bar, which I didn't put into the tune I submitted: a case of falling between two stools, I suppose. Here is how I'd actually play it: (extra bars have asterisks above them)

Farewell To Spain - the system's playing tricks on me...

I've no idea why the asterisks I put above certain bars were banished to the left-hand margin when I submitted the above.
