"I Saw Three Ships" ~ something for the season?
The subject came up and I remembered the sets we used to work up for Christmas, one being a 32 bar jig where we used two different melodies for the song "I Saw Three Ships", one making the A-part and the other the B-part. I'm pretty sure we got the versions from 'The Oxford Book of Carols', but we had a lot of material to draw from. My ma-in-law used to get upset with me butchering the carols and speeding them up, but we had fun and we didn't roast the tunes. She also got upset with me putting old folk songs to the airs of famous Welsh carols too, which I used to do just to irritate her and wind her up, bless her soul.
I haven't been able to find our sets, and I haven't the carol books on hand, so this is what my memory reconstructed for the tune. I had a slew of other tunes, in particular hornpipes and a few marches, lined up, but it is the month of Christmas, and a recent 'Discussion' pulled this out of the shadows... Don't be surprised if there are a couple of others knocking about. I'm pretty sure we had a set or two based completely on French carols...

Nice variation
I like the way you re-arranged it with a variation for the second half. And it works beautifully as a set with the Greensleeves jig.
